    Ma Ai training with Franziska Dietrich.

    Based on the success of her previous visits to our school, the Accademia dell’Arte invited Berlin-based actor, martial artist, and physical therapist Franziska Dieterich to give another workshop in Ma-ai and “Body weather training” to our undergraduate theater students as part of their movement program. Check out their work!

    Franziska Dieterich is an actress, singer and physical therapist based in Berlin.

    Franziska studied acting in Berlin in the late eighties and was employed by, as well as developed her own work in many theatres in Germany such as the Hebbel Theater and Sophiensäle, Berlin, Stadttheater Zittau, Leipzig and Weimar, amongst others.

    She has also worked for several television and radio stations, including Channel One Russia, ARD, SWR and Deutschlandfunk in Germany, and more.

    Franziska has studied Shiatsu and Cranio Sacral therapy since 2002 and opened her own practice in 2006. She is a passionate practitioner of the Japanese martial art Aikido, and earned her black belt in 2010.

    Most recently she has been touring her one woman show Edith Piaf mich rettete ein Traum.
