Florence and Foods

This week at Accademia dell’Arte, I went to Firenze and had the time of my life! It’s so awesome that for just under 10 dollars I can travel to Florence anytime I want!
After an amazing historical tour of Florence led by Monica, we got to go to Antico Vinaio, a stalwart sandwich shop where the sandwiches are bigger than your head! They had all sorts of meats, veggies, spreads, and cremas with which to customize your sandwich.
That same night I had some amazing Sardinian green gnocchi with a white sausage ragu and ricotta at Babae, a super cool restaurant on Via Santo Spirito (definitely a cool street to check out with lots of cool food and shopping options)
The next day students went to visit the uffizi and so much more. I extended my personal food tour by heading to Brac (A cozy bookstore/restaurant that serves vegetarian food, located just about a block down from the ponte vecchio). There I got a super unique plum filled pasta, a beat salad, and burratta with caper powder. YUM!
