Piper Ackerman

Ciao!! We’re more than halfway through the semester and I cannot believe how the weeks have flown by. Despite my theater background, I have zero experience in music and dance so the physical demands of this program were beyond daunting. Regardless, the support of my peers and push of my teachers has led me to personal discoveries I would have never reached otherwise. Every class, whether clown or commedia, is a new challenge that brings me closer to who I want to be as an artist and discovering what theater means to me. Outside of the classroom, I’ve grown confident in my independence. There’s nothing more empowering than traveling alone and immersing yourself in another culture. In town we’ve created relationships with the local community and really made a home in Arezzo. I know that I’m going to miss ADA and Arezzo immensely once this semester is over, but I also know that I will carry them with me in everything I create.
